Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information ReviewerZero AI, Inc ("ReviewerZero", "we" or "us") collects when you use our website at https://reviewerzero.ai and the ReviewerZero service (together, the "Service"), and how we use it. If you or your organization has a separate written agreement with us, that agreement also governs how we handle your content.
Questions: hi@reviewerzero.ai.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, work email address, password (stored as a secure hash), and the publisher or organization your email domain belongs to.
- Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- Your content: the manuscripts, files, reviews and other material you upload, and the reports the Service produces from them.
- Purchase information: what you buy and when. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by us. If you pay by invoice, we keep the billing details you give us, such as the organization, billing email, address, tax ID and purchase order number.
- Usage and device information: how you use the Service (for example, the pages you visit and the features you use), your IP address, browser type and the time of your visits, and error reports.
- Communications: messages you send us, for example through the contact or demo forms.
How we use information
- To provide the Service, including running the analyses you ask for.
- To manage your account, credits, purchases and invoices.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse, for example by limiting how often requests can be made.
- To understand how the Service is used and improve it. We use usage information for this, not your content.
- To contact you about your account, your purchases and our plans for publishers. We do not add you to marketing newsletters without your consent.
ReviewerZero Chrome extension
The ReviewerZero extension for Google Chrome lets you screen a manuscript PDF from your browser. It works only with the ReviewerZero workspace you connect it to.
- Pages it reads: only the page you open the extension's side panel on, or a link you choose with "Screen with ReviewerZero", to find PDF links there. It does not read other pages or your browsing history.
- What it sends to us: only the PDF you choose, and its file name, when you click "Upload and screen". We handle it like any other content you upload, as described in this Policy. The extension also asks the Service for the status and results of your screenings.
- Other websites: when the PDF you choose is on a different website, Chrome asks your permission for that website first. The extension then downloads only that PDF from it. It does not send your passwords or that website's cookies to us.
- What it stores in your browser: a connection token for your workspace, the list of your recent screenings and your display preferences. It does not store manuscript files. You can revoke the connection at any time from the side panel or from your account settings.
- Notifications: only if you turn them on, to tell you when a screening has finished.
- The extension does not use analytics or advertising and does not sell or transfer the information it handles.
ReviewerZero's use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
AI processing and training
The Service uses AI models and other automated tools, some run by third-party service providers, to analyze your content.
Your content is not used to train AI models, by us or by the service providers we use to process it.
We do not offer zero data retention. Your content is stored by us, and may be kept by our service providers while they process it, as described under "How long we keep information" below.
Sharing
We do not sell your information. We share it only:
- with service providers that help us run the Service, such as cloud hosting and storage, AI model and document processing, literature and web search, payments and billing, customer relationship management, email delivery, product analytics and error monitoring. They may use the information only to provide their services to us;
- with people you choose to share a project or report with, for example through a share link or your organization's workspace;
- when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users;
- as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
How long we keep information
- Your projects and reports are kept until you delete them. If you turn on automatic deletion when you start an analysis, the project is deleted 7 days later.
- Account information is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account in your account settings, or ask us to.
- Purchase and invoice records are kept as long as the law requires.
- Usage logs and error reports are kept for a limited time, as needed to run and secure the Service.
Cookies
We use cookies that the Service needs to work, such as the one that keeps you signed in, and cookies that help us understand how the Service is used. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Service may then stop working.

We protect your information with measures such as encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your information. See our security page for more.
Your choices
You can update your account details in the Service, delete your projects, and delete your account. To ask for a copy of your information, a correction or its deletion, contact us at hi@reviewerzero.ai.
