Getting Started
Quick Start Guide
Get up and running with ReviewerZero in just a few steps.
Step 1: Create an Account
- Visit reviewerzero.ai
- Click "Sign Up" in the top navigation
- Complete the registration process
Step 2: Upload a Manuscript
Once logged in, you can start a new analysis:
- Click "New Analysis" from your dashboard
- Upload your manuscript (PDF format supported) — add up to 20 PDFs at once to run a batch, where each manuscript gets its own analysis
- Choose your report options and start the analysis
Step 3: Review Results
After processing, you'll receive a comprehensive report including:
- Figure analysis - Visual inspection of all images
- Statistical review - Verification of reported statistics
- Citation check - Validation of references
Understanding Your Report
Severity Levels
Every finding carries a severity:
| Severity | Description |
|---|---|
| Red | Requires attention — e.g. a retracted or likely fabricated reference, a significance-flipping statistical error |
| Amber | Should be reviewed — e.g. a metadata discrepancy or a non-decision-changing inconsistency |
| Green | Verified or informational |
Check Visibility
Use the check-visibility filter to control how much of the report you see, on screen and in exports:
| Level | Shows |
|---|---|
| All checks | Every check that ran, including verified-clean results |
| Flagged | Red and amber findings only |
| Needs review | Red findings only — the fastest triage view |
Taking Action
For each flagged issue, you can:
- View detailed explanations
- See the original context, and jump to its location in the manuscript
- Accept or dismiss findings to record your triage decisions
- Export findings for review
